AUDITIONS, CASTING, & HIRING

The D’Youville Kavinoky Theatre accepts submissions each year from theatre artists of all disciplines, both union and non-union, for paid positions. We also hold additional auditions, callbacks, and interviews throughout the year on an as-needed basis. Individual shows are cast and production teams are hired based off of audition calls, callbacks, interviews, as well as submissions of materials online throughout the year.

At the Kavinoky, we celebrate and value the unique perspectives of artists of all backgrounds. So, as we hire and cast, we strive to create a community of artists which is accessible and equitable, inclusive and diverse. We aim to provide a cultural and entertaining live theatre experience by embracing a shared vision of service, leadership and enrichment for our community. The D’Youville Kavinoky Theatre encourages submissions from artists and staff of all genders, races, abilities, sexual identities, ages, and backgrounds.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

PERFORMERS

In addition to attending TAB auditions (theatreallianceofbuffalo.com/auditions/), the Kavinoky Theatre is currently accepting virtual audition submissions for our ‘25-’26 season and beyond.

Whether you are an established actor or newer to the scene, the Kavinoky wants to see your work!

Submissions will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis, however for full ‘25-’26 season consideration, please submit by March 1, 2025.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

·         Performers must be 18 years of age or older by the start of the rehearsal period to be considered for a role.

All auditions for performers under 18 years of age will occur on an as-needed basis and will be posted under the “Auditions” tab on our website as opportunities arise. Our ‘25-’26 season currently has no available roles for performers under the age of 18.
